Mourinho going nowhere
Jose Mourinho has played down reports he could be set to leave Real Madrid after alleged in-fighting between himself and a number of high-profile members of his squad. The former Chelsea boss has led Real into the knockout stages of the Champions League, as well as getting the club five-points clear at the top of the Primera Liga – now in with a great chance of reclaiming the title from its three-year stay at Barcelona.
Despite leading bitter rivals Barca in the league, last month saw Real go down to their third defeat from four matches against Pep Guardiola's men – in a match where Mourinho once again came in for criticism for his seemingly physical tactics. Those looking at the Betfair la liga betting will be wondering if they can hold on to top spot.
It was in the aftermath of this defeat that the alleged disagreement occurred between the manager and his squad, however, Mourinho has been quick to insist all is well in the Madrid camp, highlighting just how much progress the club have made since he took charge.
"I am happy in Madrid and the squad do not have any problems with me," Mourinho said.
"At the moment, we're leaders with a five-point lead on the team everyone says are the best in the world."
"And we have won six games out of six in the Champions League. So I think we haven't got as many problems as people want to say."
If Madrid can maintain their lead atop the Primera Liga and win the title, then it has to viewed upon as being a stunning piece of management from the self-proclaimed 'Special One'. Those following the Betfair sports betting tips need to bear this in mind.
While it's hard to argue that Barcelona aren't the current best team in the world, Real's consistency in the league has now put them in control of the league and ready to spring something of a surprise.
Whatever Mourinho's methods, it's blatantly they work.
