SHINJI KAGAWA NAMED ASIAN PLAYER OF THE YEAR

Saturday, December 01, 2012

Reports are out claiming that Manchester United midfielder Shinji Kagawa has been named Asian Player of the Year.
The Japanese international star has won the inaugural Asian Football Confederation (AFC) International Player-of-the-Year award.
The 23-year-old playmaker (above) beat Fulham’s Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer and Japan team-mate Yuto Nagatomo to the award in Kuala Lumpur.
Kagawa produced a number of impressive displays earlier in the year as Borussia Dortmund claimed the Bundesliga title before he moved to England where he has had a low-key start and struggled with injury.
