JOEL CAMPBELL – ARSENAL STAR RISING IN REAL BETIS

Joel Nathaniel Campbell Samuels or simple Joel Campbell is the young striker of Arsenal currently spending time on loan at Spanish club Real Betis. Previously the talented Costa Rican international was sent on loan with French club Lorient.
Campbell began his career with Deportivo Saprissa S.A.D. in 2009 and was snapped up by Arsenal in August 2011 but was unable obtain a work permit to enable him to play in England.
Unable to get a work permit in England, Campbell was sent to FC Lorient where he made a total of 26 appearance scoring a total of 4 goals and 1 assist.
On the 6th of July 2012, Campbell was loaned out to La Liga club Real Betis. The young striker had no problem adjusting to the La Liga and as at January 2013, Campbell has made a total of 13 appearance scoring 2 goals and 1 assists in all competition.
Campbell’s goals and overall contribution this season has helped Real Betis move into the top four of the La Liga table and has placed them in contention to qualify for Europe next season.
It is only a matter of time before this young striker returns to Arsenal and it is one return all Arsenal fans will be waiting for.
