FIORENTINA AFTER JULIO CESAR?

Wednesday, September 11, 2013

Fiorentina sporting director Daniele Prade has declared that the club never made a move for Julio Cesar.

The Brazilian international goalkeeper was being heavily linked with a return to Italy after QPR had been relegated from the Premier League but Prade admits La Viola never contacted the former Inter Milan man because he would have cost too much.
Prade told La Nazione: “We were never rejected by Julio Cesar because we never contacted Julio Cesar,”.
“For two reasons – Julio Cesar has not played a real match since last April and then he has a very high salary, too high for us.”
