Chelsea are preparing a £30 Million bid for the sensational Italian striker in this January transfer window. Mario Balotelli has been managed by Mourinho in the past , during his time at Inter Milan, and despite a fragile relationship is ready to give Super Mario another chance at the Barclay's Premier League .

Since leaving Manchester City, Balotelli has been in extraordinary form for AC Milan, scoring a staggering 15 goals in 17 Italian Serie A matches.

Balotelli's agent claims that the mercurial footballer receives exaggerated amount of attention in Italy and is looking for greener pastures outside Italy, and Italy isn't the final stage in his career. His contract with AC Milan still has four years left, and this is one reason why AC Milan could get a chance to mint from this transfer.

Chelsea currently have a trio of forwards at Stamford Bridge, with Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto’o and Demba Ba to choose from. Together though, they have only contributed two league goals, but do have the in form Belgian Romelu Lukaku to return from a loan spell at Everton at the end of the season.

Any deal with Milan would likely cost around £30million, but having missed out on Radamel Falcao, Robert Lewandowski and Wayne Rooney in the summer, the Blues are on the lookout for a top quality striker.
