Diego De Girolamo
Sheffield United teenage striker Diego De Girolamo is a top target for Premier League clubs.

Diego De Girolamo

The Daily Mail reported that the 18 year old, who was being closely monitored by Arsenal, Manchester United and Manchester City, caused a stir in 2012 when he opted to play for Italy U18s instead of England after receiving a personal call from the great AC Milan and Italy coach Arrigo Sacchi.

Diego qualified for Italy through his father Cosimo who is from Naples.

A 10-month recovery ensued but he returned to play an hour for Sheffield United’s U21s against Stoke earlier this month before a run out against Coventry U18s last week. He scored two goals in 13 minutes before over extending his knee and coming off as a precaution.

However, he has been training with Sheffield United’s first-team squad and is hoping for a place on the bench against Bradford with an eye on facing Fulham in the FA Cup also.

Liverpool and Everton, alerted by his return to fitness, are also due to send scouts to watch De Girolamo.

Salomon Kalou
Tottenham are going for Lille attacker Salomon Kalou.

The Daily Mail claims that Tottenham are set for talks over a £2.6m deal for Kalou, 28, the former Chelsea forward.

The Ivory Coast international is ready to move back to the Premier League after Spurs boss Tim Sherwood declared his interest in the striker.

Kalou is expected to hold talks in London on Friday.

Sebastian Giovinco
Agent of Sebastian Giovinco has confirmed contact with Arsenal for the Juventus midfielder.

With a growing injury list at the Emirates the idea of a loan deal for the Italian midfielder until the end of the season was floated with the player.

Claudio Pasqualin, Giovinco’s agent, has reiterated that there has been contact, but said a move is far from a done deal.

Pasqualin said: “There’s been a request for information but a deal is still far from being done.

“It is logical that that the interest of a club like Arsenal is flattering and something to be proud of, but, once again, at the moment there are no negotiations underway between Juventus and the Gunners.

“Could Giovinco leave Juventus in January? Absolutely not, that hypothesis can be excluded.”

Munir El Haddadi
Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is being linked with another swoop for a Barcelona youngster.
It is said that the Frenchman is showing considerable interest in 18-year old Munir El Haddadi who is also a reported target for Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.

The Spanish giants are hoping to secure El Haddadi to a long-term deal but Wenger’s penchant for developing youngsters may turn the head of the talented teenager of Moroccan descent.
