Lukas Podolski Kept In The Dark

Tuesday, December 30, 2014

Lukas Podolski won’t rule out a January move to Inter Milan.

Inter chief Piero Ausilio is hoping to tie up a deal for the Germany international this week.
Podolski told Super Express: “A transfer? I have to explain this well. I’m not young any more and I cannot afford to wait for a chance on the bench. I’m 29 and my thought is just to play.
“I’m not crazy, I do not want to continue my career in the stands. What else can I do to give respect to Arsenal? I scored in the Champions League and ended up on the bench.
“I do not know what I have to show. In the coming days I will speak with the club and will clarify their position towards me.
“Inter? Currently there is nothing for granted, first I have to talk to Arsenal and understand their will.”

Meanwhile Inter Milan are pushing to sign Arsenal winger Lukas Podolski this week.
Inter coach Roberto Mancini has made it clear he wants a new wing signing made for the January market.
Inter chief Piero Ausilio is in England this week to find an attacking signing and Podolski is their prime target.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger was asked about the reports after victory at West Ham United: “No there is nothing concrete there.
“At the moment nobody goes out. We have (Mesut) Ozil coming back now at the beginning of January, so of course there is a lot of competition up front.”
