Juventus vs Genoa 1-0 Highlights Video Clips Italian Serie A 2015
Carlos Tevez's wonder strike secures all three points for the Bianconeri as they inch closer to securing a fourth consecutive league title. The hosts avenge their only Serie A loss of the season, to Genoa, and they do it with relative ease, coasting through the second half en route to the victory.
The striker scored the only goal of the game and missed a second half penalty as Massimiliano Allegri's side recorded a narrow win on Sunday and provisionally move 17 points clear at the top of Serie A.
The Argentine, who notched a double to help dump Borussia Dortmund out of the Champions League in midweek, lit up the contest with a brilliant solo goal after 25 minutes.
"The coach always gives me compliments for what I do on the pitch for the team," Tevez said. "Everyone knows I am happy here, I don't want to talk about my future at the moment. I have to enjoy this unique moment that I am experiencing.
"We have to seal the championship as soon as possible," he said, so that Juventus "can focus on the Italian Cup semifinal and the Champions League quarterfinals. We can't let our guard down."

Atletico Madrid vs Bayer Leverkusen 1-0 Highlights Video Clips Champions League 2015
  • Atletico win in dramatic penalty shootout
  • Last year's finalists into quarter-finals
  • Suarez equalised after Leverkusen won first leg

  • Calhanoglu, Toprak and Kiessling missed penalties

A deflected first-half Mario Suárez shot and some hopeless Leverkusen penalties saw Atlético Madrid reach the Champions League quarter-finals
Atletico Madrid reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League following a 3-2 penalty shoot-out victory over Bayer Leverkusen, after a 1-1 aggregate draw at the Vicente Calderon on Tuesday night.
So Atlético Madrid are in the Champions League quarter-finals! And it’s hard to argue, based on the last couple of hours, that they don’t deserve to be there, but though they certainly looked brighter and more enterprising than Leverkusen, they created approximately nothing at all, got a lucky deflection to score from a poor shot, and it’s not harder to be brighter or more enterprising than a side that, like Leverkusen tonight, offers nothing more than workrate.
Atletico had lost all three previous penalty shootouts in European football while Leverkusen had won their only previous shootout - against Espanyol in the 1988 Uefa Cup final
Match Stats:

Atletico Madrid vs Leverkusen 1-0 (Mario Suarez scored goal vs Leverkusen)
Post Match reactions:
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone:
"I loved it. As I watched the match ending I could see we were back again among the best eight teams in Europe with Atletico Madrid in a stadium that was erupting. It left me with goosepimples.
"The fans delight me. The supporters don't realise the strength they give the players."
Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres:
"I'm happy, delighted to see the stadium enjoying a match like this. I've often yearned to live nights like this in the Calderon, so it's a day to savour."
Bayer Leverkusen coach Roger Schmidt:
"We are a young team with little experience and it is not easy to hang in there at a stadium like Atletico's.
"In the shootout we lacked concentration and calm. After fighting so hard we are very disappointed. But the players gave their all and so we leave feeling satisfied."
Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Simon Rolfes:
"After a penalty shootout it is difficult to analyse a game. We may not have shown enough courage, but a little luck is also necessary. It is bitter to exit on penalties. Atletico were the more active team and we were not confident enough."

Arsenal were extremely good tonight, but they are out of the Champions League on away goals. For the fifth successive year, they leave the competition in the last 16 and they have been made to pay for their slackness in the first leg. You just can’t afford to be this careless at this level. Arsenal vs West Ham 3-0 Highlights News 2015 Giroud Flamini Ramsey Goals

Arsenal vs West Ham 3-0 Highlights Video Clips English Premier League 2015
Olivier Giroud, Aaron Ramsey and Mathieu Flamini fired Arsenal to their fifth Premier League win in a row as they moved to within one point of second-placed Manchester City with a 3-0 win over West Ham at the Emirates.
France striker Giroud – who has now scored five times in his last five matches against West Ham – struck just before half-time and then combined with Ramsey on 81 minutes for Arsenal's second before linking up with Santi Cazorla, who teed-up fellow sub Flamini for a third six minutes from time.
There are fewer finer sights in football than a flowing, incisive Arsenal team goal. On Saturday, the Gunners provided three perfect examples in a confident 3-0 victory over West Ham, which strengthens Arsenal's grip on third place in the Premier League.

The three star performers here were Olivier Giroud, Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey, who all provided different aspects of attacking play required for these type of goals. Giroud offers neat wall passes, Ozil's penetrative passing cuts through defences and Ramsey charges towards goal determinedly. Together, they formed a triangle that outfoxed West Ham repeatedly.

Werder Bremen vs Bayern Munich 0-4 Highlights News 2015 Muller Alaba Lewandowski Goals

Werder Bremen vs Bayern Munich 0-4 Highlights Video Clips German Bundesliga 2015
The team bus ran out of fuel
Bayern came into the match on a high note following a 7-0 thumping of Shakhtar Donetsk to reach the Champions League quarterfinals. A rare lackluster performance from the Bavarians led to a scoreless draw in the opening leg. The dominance returned on Wednesday.

Game over, but it's been over for a while to be fair. Thomas Muller's opener was a great finish, matched by a quality David Alaba free-kick right on half-time which killed the match as a contest. Two close-range Lewandowski finishes put gloss on the scoreline for Bayern.

Bayern have now won the last nine Bundesliga clashes against Werder. "Won" is perhaps an understatement as the Reds have completely dominated, racking up 39 goals in the process. At the current rate of progress, buoyant Bayern can expect to seal their 24th Bundesliga title towards the end of April.

Eibar vs Barcelona 0-2 Highlights Video Clips Spanish La Liga 2015
Full time in the Ipurua. Barcelona extend their lead at the top of the Spanish Primera Division to four points after professionally dispatching of struggling Eibar with a relatively comfortable 2-0 victory. No prizes for guessing who grabbed both goals, as Lionel Messi notches up yet another brace in the league. A lack of quality in the final third from the hosts meant the Barcelona defence were never particularly troubled, at least until the last minute when Piovaccari struck the bar.

Barcelona went four points clear at the top of La Liga with a 2-0 win at Eibar on Saturday, with the Basque side suffering an eighth straight defeat in the process.

Argentinian No. 10 Lionel Messi was the man who did the damage, scoring a fiercely driven penalty in the first half and then a fine header after the break from a corner to give his side the points they wanted ahead of a big week of action for the Catalan club at home and abroad.

Well that was a heady dose of nostalgia, wasn’t it? Manchester United, fluid and incisive, looking every inch their former selves, and took Tottenham apart in the first half. Time and time again, Tottenham were carved open down their right-hand side. Poor Kyle Walker, he had a torrid afternoon.

Gareth Bale scores twice to silence critics as Real close gap on Barcelona to one point
Gareth Bale rammed some of the ridiculous criticism he has received in recent weeks from Real Madrid supporters back down their throats with a first half double and the perfect goal celebration.
The former Tottenham forward who scored 22 goals in 44 games in his first season at the club including strikes that won the Copa del Rey and Champions League final has had to put up with whistles in his own stadium and a fan poll that had 40 per cent of supporters calling for him to be dropped in recent weeks.
When he put Real Madrid ahead on 18 minutes in the 2-0 win over Levante on Sunday night he made sure he left off some steam, covering his ears as he ran to the corner to give the flag a celebratory kick.
Madrid warm up for the Clasico with a professional win, leaving them only a point behind Barcelona. Bale struck twice in the first half to put Levante to the sword, and the visitors never truly had a prayer in the second half.

  • Bayern won Champions League in 2013
  • Quickest red card in competition history
  • Bayern have 74% possession
  • Bayern's joint biggest win in CL

The early red card does the visitors in as Die Roten bulldoze their way to an emphatic victory en route to a place in the quarter-finals. It is a sad end to a good campaign for the Ukrainian side, who never were given a chance to compete in the match.
Bayern record the joint-best ever Champions League result (only after Liverpool 8-0 Besiktas in 2007) and cruise through to the quarter finals. A real shame that this match never really got going, as the Ukrainian team would surely have tested the German champions with 11 men. But credit to Bayern, as Lewandowski aside, they were typically clinical.

Chelsea vs PSG 2-2 Highlights Video Clips UEFA Champions League 2015
Thiago Silva scored the decisive goal in extra time as 10-man PSG dumped Chelsea out of the Champions League on away goals after a 2-2 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Forget the result. What happened between Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain in that modern-day Battle of Stamford Bridge was an affront to football. This festival of fouls and demonstration of the dark arts symbolised a culture of deceit which, if not checked, poses a serious threat to the game's future.
Officiating will never be perfect in any sport, but the gap between what the referee sees and what the fans see on TV is widening every year as technology advances. That gap threatens the credibility of the game; viewers watch as simulation is rewarded, bad fouls are missed, penalty calls go astray, blown offside calls rescind valid goals and award invalid ones, etc. And this at the very top levels of the game. Last night's match yielded some exciting moments and ultimately, a fair result, but it left a very bad taste in the mouth. As an American fan, I've watched major stateside sports address this gap by gradually experimenting with, and ultimately introducing technological aids for officials. Technology is not perfect, and offends traditionalists' sensibilities, but it has greatly reduced unjust results and helped uphold the credibility of these sports. Football needs to find a way to do the same, or the credibility of the "beautiful game" will continue to erode.
