Juventus are happy to sell Arturo Vidal to Arsenal

Tuesday, June 30, 2015

Juventus are happy to sell Arturo Vidal to Arsenal and are pushing for the move to happen

Arsenal are in the market for a top midfielder after completing the signing of Petr Cech, and have already missed out on targets like Geoffrey Kondogbia.

Calciomercato.com claims that since the end of last season, interest in the Chile international had dried up. Real Madrid, Manchester United, Bayern Munich and Arsenal had all expressed interest in Vidal during the campaign.

But in recent weeks, that interest had gone cold, particularly after Vidal’s controversial car crash.

Juve were eager to do business and actually approached Arsenal last week with a lower valuation – €30 million – urging them to reopen negotiations.

It’s suggested Arsene Wenger is unsure about the deal, but Arsenal directors have taken the deal out of his hands and are ready to sign the Chilean, even without his approval.
Vidal, who has been linked with the Gunners for most of the summer, is looking likely to be leaving Juve following the arrival of Sami Khedira.Manchester United have also been linked with Vidal but they are now focusing on other options.

Final score and result:- Chile vs Peru 2-1 (Vargas*2/Medel OG)
Estadio Nacional, Santiago, Chile- 29 June, 2015- 29/6/15
Hosts Chile are through to the final of Copa America 2015 thanks to a brace from Eduardo Vargas, including one cracking effort. Peru played with ten men for most of the game following a red card to Carlos Zambrano
A stunning goal from Eduardo Vargas gave host nation Chile a 2-1 win in a pulsating match against 10-man Peru, sending them to their first final since 1987.
That was a brilliant game. Peru had started superbly and were dealt a huge setback when Zambrano was sent off. We’ll never know how important that was, but they stuck to the task well and were unlucky to go in 1-0 down at half-time to Vargas’ close-range effort. Chile went for the jugular after the break but there was a constant sense that the Peruvians weren’t out of this, and that was borne out when Medel turned a cross from the excellent Farfan into his own net.Zambrano has occasionally showed signs of instability for the national team, and that flared up once more. He had already received a yellow card for an early spat with Arturo Vidal, and after 20 minutes he was shown what appeared to be an indisputable straight red for coming through on Charles Aranguiz with an entirely unnecessary high kick to the back after clearing the ball. The Peruvian defensive line backed off, and keeper Pedro Gallese was caught unawares as Vargas, with little back lift, fired home a cross shot good enough to win any game.

Everton and Douglas Costa miss their penalties as Brazil are sent out of Copa America following a penalty shootout loss to Paraguay.
It was the second consecutive time that Paraguay eliminated Brazil on penalties in the quarter-finals of the South American tournament.
Paraguay beat Brazil 4-3 in a penalty shootout after a 1-1 draw on Saturday to advance to the semi-finals of the Copa America. The shootout delivered justice in the end, as the Selecao hardly showed anything that warranted a result from this match. Paraguay had more desire, more determination and now, they will face Argentina in the semi-finals.
Robinho put Brazil ahead after 15 minutes,Brazil had looked to be heading towards that mouthwatering tie with Lionel Messi's side after Robinho's goal on 14 minutes, but Derlis Gonzalez's penalty midway through the second half ensured normal time finished 1-1 and took the game to penalties.Everton Ribeiro and Douglas Costa both missed from the spot as the Selecao suffered a repeat of their shoot-out loss to the same nation at the same stage four years ago.

Are Arsenal looking to offer Jack Wilshere a whopping pay rise

Monday, June 22, 2015

The England international midfielder has been attracting interest from Manchester City and it has recently been reported that the Citizens are planning to table a huge bid in the region of around £40million for the midfielder.

However, Arsenal are not keen on parting with the 23-year old anytime soon and in order to ward off City from luring the England international, the Daily Star claims that the Gunners are planning to offer a new £100,000-per week contract.

The potential deal would double Wilshere’s current terms at the club which is believed to be in the region of around £50,000-per-week.

Wilshere loves playing for Arsenal and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is fuming at City’s pursuit of the England midfielder.

But England’s two-goal hero in Slovenia last Sunday is understood to be concerned at how many matches he’ll start for Arsenal next season, says the Daily Star Sunday.

Wilshere is also believed to have sounded out England team-mates about living in the Manchester area.

City are starting to think he’s a more viable target than Juventus and France midfielder Paul Pogba, 22, who is wanted by Real Madrid and Barcelona.

ATLETICO MADRID WILL BUYOUT JACKSON MARTINEZ’S CLAUSE

Atletico Madrid are willing to meet the buyout clause of Porto striker Jackson Martinez, after AC Milan pulled out of the race to sign the striker.

A Bola claims that Atletico are prepared to spend the €35 million fee that would also cover his buyout clause.

Atl├ętico are in the process of selling Croatian striker, Mario Mandzukic to Juventus for a fee of €18 million and they see the Colombian as the ideal substitute.

The FC Porto star has been on the radars of Atleti, the Rossoneri and Arsenal recently but with the Italians pulling out and the Gunners not yet making a move, it appears as though he is set to move to Madrid.

Milan revealed on Sunday that they will no longer pursue Colombia international Jackson which leaves Atletico free to complete the signing of the 28-year old who will cost €35 million.

AC’s vice-president and CEO Adriano Galliani told La Gazzetta dello Sport: “If we save €40m on Geoffrey Kondogbia and €35m on Jackson Martinez, we’ll have another €75m to spend wisely over the rest of the transfer window.

“Whether that’s a good or a bad thing, only time will tell…”

WILL CHELSEA LET PETR CECH JOIN ARSENAL ?

According to Sky Sports, the Chelsea goalkeeper is set to join the Gunners once the two clubs agree on a transfer fee.

It is believed that any mooted player swap deals are no longer an option with Arsenal set to pay a straight-up fee for Cech, 33, who has been linked with a Stamford Bridge exit for the past few months.

Chelsea were hoping to avoid a situation where Cech leaves for a Premier League rival but it appears as though Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal will land the Czech Republic international for a fee believed to be in the region of £14million.

Cech is expected to sign for the Gunners in the coming days.

Viktor Kolar, interviewed by FCInterNews.it, was asked about Cech replacing Samir Handanovic at Inter.

“I have heard so many rumors in recent weeks about a possible landing place for Petr at Inter, but this does not correspond to reality.

“A possible chance of replacing Handanovic some time ago? No, at that time there was never any contact with the Nerazzurri. Just rumors. I cannot therefore say that Inter would be a welcome destination, we never talked about this.”

Asked about Arsenal, Kolar joked: “No, I cannot say too much on this. I would like to know too! (Laughs).”

Argentina vs Jamaica 1-0 Highlights Video Clips Copa America 2015
Argentina may be topping the group, but, are they in top form. While Messi's side had already qualified for the last 16, even a win would not have been enough for Jamaica.
Argentina 1-0 Jamaica: Higuain's 11th-minute strike proves decisive and it sends Argentina into the quarter-finals as Group B winners. The Reggae Boyz are eliminated, but they've got the Gold Cup to look forward to.Winning his 100th cap, Messi, 27, was kept at bay but Napoli striker Higuain fired home from inside the box. A glorified practice match, the only things that betrayed it were that it was so low-scoring, that Argentina only won 1-0, and that Pablo Zabaleta incurred a booking that will keep him out of the quarterfinal through suspension.Lionel Messi claims Uruguay's approach was simply to try to prevent Argentina from playing in their Copa America group clash, but insists his team is on track after their 1-0 win.Argentina boss Gerardo Martino - watching from the stands after receiving a one-match ban for stepping on the field against Uruguay - rested Sergio Aguero and Nicolas Otamendi and drafted in Higuain and Martin Demichelis.

Jamaica forward took a selfie with Lionel Messi."Messi is the best in the world, a star, and that's a photo I'll have as a souvenir all my life," said Brown.

Thiago Silva and Roberto Firmino score for Brazil as they book their spot in the last eight of the tournament
Brazil looked so ferocious for so long but so fragile when it mattered
Brazil go through top of Group C, setting up a quarter-final with Paraguay, with goals from Thiago Silva and Roberto Firmino putting them into a comfortable lead. Miku set up a tense ending with a consolation strike cutting the five time World Cup winners' lead to 2-1, but the majority of this game brought Brazil's best play of the tournament  and without their best player.Miku could have pulled off an incredible comeback in stoppage time but Josef Martinez's cross flashed just over his head with the goal gaping.Brazil could have ended the game assertively but, rather than build on their lead and fine early play, Dunga decided to ensure he would have four centre-halves on the pitch. It is no surprise that Brazil then invited pressure, and almost totally succumbed to it. Robinho injected energy into Brazil as a whole and was a general hub of creativity and action. This is not to sideline the exceptional Neymar, but Robinho did ensure that, in this game, Brazil looked so much more cohesive,he restored a bit of life into Brazil. There was a time, of course, when Robinho was widely expected to have the kind of career and status that Neymar has.

Uruguay have won the Copa America 15 times - the most of any nation. This year's favourites Argentina are one behind with 14 titles.
It was a fiercely contested fixture between the pair, but it is Martino's men who come out triumphant and move level with Paraguay at the top of Group B.After his team surrendered a two-goal lead against Paraguay on Saturday, Martino would have been pleased with how Argentina ground out a result. It was a reminder to Argentina of the fragility of their lead but they managed to see the game out to claim the 82nd victory over their South American neighbours. The game opened up after that and became increasingly fractious, with an unnecessary lunge at the opposition goalkeeper from Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo sparking a penalty-box melee, while Egidio Arevalo Rios and Messi later briefly squared up.

Arsenal FA Cup Parade 2015- Anti-Spurs Chants Songs It’s Happened Again

Tuesday, June 02, 2015

England midfielder Jack Wilshere mocked Arsenal’s North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur at the Gunners’ FA Cup winners Parade. Among Wilshere’s anti-Spurs chants were “what do we think of Tottenham? And what do we think of s***t“, “It’s happened again, Tottenham Hotspur“, and “My old man said be a Tottenham fan“. Check out the Youtube videos of Wilshere at the FA Cup winners’ parade.

Meanwhile, Arsenal officials will speak with Jack Wilshere regarding his abusive comments directed at north London rivals Tottenham.

The England midfielder was heard to clearly swear during the Gunners’ FA Cup celebrations when leading multiple chants against Spurs following his club’s 4-0 triumph in Saturday’s FA Cup final.

Wilshere made the same gaffe after last season’s FA Cup win over Hull City and is set to hold talks with Arsenal for his behaviour.

Arsenal’s in-house media channel quickly ceased their coverage of the parade during Wilshere’s ‘speech’, prompting the presenter to apologise for the expletives used by the midfielder.
