Arda Turan completes to Barca but cannot play until January or may be back home

Tuesday, July 07, 2015

The Catalan giants have signed the Turkey captain on a five-year contract from Atletico Madrid for an initial fee of £24.1million (€34m).Turan ineligible until January due to Barcelona’s transfer ban

Having scored 22 goals and given 32 assists in an impressive 178 appearances in just four years, it is clear that Turan has excelled under Diego Simeone during his very successful spell in the Spanish capital.

The 28-year old attacking midfielder had been heavily linked with Premier League trio Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United but has left Atletico to join treble-winners Barca despite the fact he will be ineligible to play until January 2016 because of the club’s transfer ban.

Diego Costa said :
"It would be fantastic. Arda makes everything so much easier out on the pitch,"
"Arda, Filipe Luis and I function perfectly. And Arda is such a great person.
"He invited us to eat at his house many times, I really liked his kebab. The whole team would go round to his house for dinner."

Regarding the Barcelona presidential elections, the Catalan club reserve the right to re-sell the player to Atletico until 20 July.
A club statement read: “The agreement includes the option of selling the player to Atletico Madrid for the fixed fee less 10% option costs."
"The commission included an unusual clause which means whoever wins the 20 July election has the option within two days of selling Turan back to Atlético less 10% of the fixed fee.

Estadio Nacional, Santiago- 4 July, 2015- Copa America Final
Chile claim their first-ever international trophy, winning Copa America 2015 as hosts. It is very much a fitting finale. Two teams with a philosophy, two teams that like to attack, two teams with style and swagger.Gonzalo Higuain and Ever Banega both miss their kicks in the shootout as Chile win Copa America 2015 on home soil.Alexis Sanchez kept his cool to score the winning penalty as Chile won the 2015 Copa America. The wait for the Argentines -- and a hugely frustrated Lionel Messi -- only goes on, however, after a fraught 0-0 draw but strikingly quick penalty shootout.Messi was the only player to score a penalty for Gerardo Martino's team although the manager's approach left him so isolated during the game and meant Argentina didn't have all that much about them. This was their second lost final in the space of a year and they again failed to fire in the showpiece, just as happened in the World Cup.Four-time runners-up Chile celebrated in style as Argentina were left to reflect on what might have been once again, as their 22-year wait for a major trophy goes on.

Everyone should be interested in ARDA TURAN including Chelsea

Wednesday, July 01, 2015

The Daily Mail claims that Turan wants to join Chelsea in a £29million deal this summer.

The Blues, though, face stiff competition from Paris Saint Germain, while Manchester United and Arsenal have also registered an interest.

But sources close to Turan have indicated the midfielder prefers a switch to west London, with having the chance to work with Jose Mourinho a big attraction for the Turk.

The news leaves Chelsea are front-runners to land Turan this summer, but it remains to be seen whether Mourinho is prepared to meet the player’s £29million release clause.

Turan’s agent recently confirmed that his client’s future could be finalised within the ‘next four days’.

In addition, European football expert Andy Brassell told talkSPORT he believes the Turkish international will end up at Old Trafford.

“Everyone should be interested in him, including Chelsea,” Brassell said.

“This guy is an unbelievable player.

“He made a huge difference in those even Madrid derbies that Atletico won. He’s got great energy and is adaptable.

“He wants to come to the Premier League and my gut feeling tells me [he'll move to] Manchester United. They’re the most likely and that’s the fit for him.”

Argentina vs Paraguay 6-1 Highlights Video Clips Copa America 2015
Argentina ripped Paraguay apart in the second semifinal of 2015 Copa America where they ran out 6-1 winners and qualify for the final against Chile.

Angel di Maria scored twice and Marcos Rojo, Javier Pastore, Sergio Aguero and Gonzalo Higuain also found the net in a brilliant display orchestrated by an inspired Lionel Messi.

Argentina had scored only four goals in their four previous matches but Messi said it was not because the team had not been playing well.

“We talked about that just before the match and we said it was just chance that we hadn’t scored more because we’ve been playing well,” Messi said.

“Today all the goals came at once.”
Everything was very tight, but we knew once we scored one, many goals would come. We scored an early goal, found more spaces, and then it got better. We continued to play the same way, created many chances.

If I score a goal in the final, the important thing is we made it. We played the final of the World Cup, now of the Copa America – and we need to win it."
