PSG 24 points clear and invincible

Angel di Maria grabbed the winning goal of a hard-fought encounter at Stade Velodrome

Olympique Marseille vs PSG 2016 (OM-Paris VIDEO BELOW)
Final score and result:- OM vs PSG 1-2 (Cabella/Ibrahimovic, di Maria)
8 February 2016 • 01:30 • Stade Vélodrome, Marseille
Referee: R. Buquet
Remy Cabella scores a nice goal for Marseille in front of over 60,000 at Stade Velodrome, but the hosts go down to Paris SG.
Angel di Maria got his first taste of one of French football's oldest rivalries back in October 2015 when PSG saw off Marseille 2-1 in Paris thanks to two Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalties.

Key Opta stats:
- Zlatan Ibrahimovic has had a hand in eight of PSG’s last 10 goals in Ligue 1 away games (six goals, two assists).
- Marseille have scored in their last 11 Ligue 1 games at home against PSG, their best run against the Parisians in the top flight.
- PSG have scored two goals or more in their last 10 games against Marseille.
- Marseille have registered five draws in a row in Velodrome, their longest run since October-December 1978 (also five). rivalries back in October 2015 when PSG saw off Marseille 2-1 in Paris thanks to two Zlatan Ibrahimovic penalties.

PSG 24 points clear of Monaco at the top of the table and Marseille still searching for a first league win at home since September 13.That defeat for Marseille means that they have now gone 10 matches at home without a win in the league, and remain in 10th place. PSG, on the other hand, have almost been tagged as the ‘invincible’ Ligue 1 champions and campaign is well within their grasps, having overcome their biggest rivals without ever playing to anywhere near their full potential.
Marseille can consider themselves unlucky not to have got anything from that fixture. They started slowly, and were duly punished by Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s early opener, but re-grouped and were by far the better side from then on in, with Remy Cabella’s sublime goal restoring parity midway through the first half. However, PSG’s quality told in the end, and after Steve Mandanda’s error allowed Ibrahimovic the time and space to pick out Di Maria, there was no doubting the outcome.

Modric stunner keep Madrid in the race

Granada vs Real Madrid 2016 (Granada-Real VIDEO BELOW)
Final score and result:- Granada vs Real Madrid 1-2 (El-Arabi/Benzema, Modric)
February 7, 2016 • 19:30 • Estadio Nuevo Los Cármenes, Granada
Referee: Jesús Gil
Goals from Benzema and Modric, the first league one of the new season for the latter, help Real Madrid down Granada.Zinedine Zidane's side went into the match with a seven-point deficit to leaders Barcelona, and were unable to recapture the form which saw them fire six past Espanyol a week ago.Modric's 85th minute winner saw Zinedine Zidane's men cut the gap to leaders Barcelona to four points, having played a game more . A spectacular strike from Luka Modric secured all important victory for Real Madrid away to Granada in La Liga on Sunday.El-Arabi scored off the bench in the second half to cancel out Benzema's opener, but Granada just could not hold on for a point. That keeps them buried in the relegation zone.Overall another below-par display from Madrid on the road. Modric's goal looks to have papered over a few cracks, but this was not a title-calibre performance.
