Final score and result:- Las Palmas vs Real Madrid 1-2 (Willian Jose/Ramos, Casemiro)
Estadio de Gran Canaria- 13 March, 2016- 19.30 UK KO- 13/3/16- Sunday
Casemiro’s last gasp winner earns ten man Real Madrid a narrow win against struggling Las Palmas.Head coach Zinedine Zidane opted to rest the trio for the long trip to Gran Canaria to face Quique Setien's side.France international striker Karim Benzema also missed out as he continues his recovery from injury.Borja Mayoral, Nacho Fernandez and Alvaro Arbeloa all return to the matchday squad for a game which Madrid must win if they are to keep pressure on rivals Atletico Madrid in second place.Las Palmas almost claimed a hard-fought point when Jose netted a well-taken 87th-minute equaliser to cancel out Sergio Ramos' towering header in the first half but Madrid midfielder Casemiro had other ideas, as he headed Jese Rodriguez's corner beyond home goalkeeper Javi Varas just two minutes after Willian Jose's leveller to snatch all three points for Zinedine Zidane's side.A pulsating end to this encounter sees Madrid sparing blushes and take hard-earned three points against the resilient hosts, whose three-match winning rally is ended. Ramos opened the scoring, but Willian Jose thought he had rescued a point against his ex-club. However, Casemiro came up with the goods with a minute left. Two corners, two goals for the visitors, who also survived the late dismissal of Ramos.Ramos was then sent off for a second bookable offence in an nail biting finish ending, but the visitors held on for a third-straight league win that puts them back to within four points of second-placed Atletico Madrid and 12 behind runaway leaders Barcelona

Leicester runs away as Tottenham and Arsenal split points

A sensational strike by Riyad Mahrez saw Leicester City restore their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League with a 1-0 victory against Watford. Leicester must regard every game as final following the victory.Claudio Ranieri wants to run 'very, very fast' to the Premier League title. Ranieri  said "I tell my players that every game is a final. I don't know how many points. At the end of the first part of the season when we achieved 39 points, I said I wanted to achieve one more. 79? I don't know if that will be enough but I will be happy. Of course now we are running for something special - why not?"

Meanwhile Alexis Sanchez's equaliser earned 10-man Arsenal an important point as Spurs missed the opportunity to go top of the Premier League in the north London derby at White Hart Lane.Goals from Toby Alderweireld and Harry Kane saw Spurs reverse a half-time deficit but the Chilean attacker stepped up to secure a draw against his side's title rivals.Arsenal had 10 men from the 54th minute but Sanchez struck to earn a point.Arsenal's Francis Coquelin was sent off on 55 minutes after being shown a second yellow card for a foul on Harry Kane, leaving the door open for Spurs to respond with two quick goals. The Gunners are still in a reasonable position to challenge for the title - and Wenger would have taken that before kick-off. Both teams will need to dust themselves down quickly, with Wenger's side next in action against Hull in their FA Cup fifth-round replay, while Tottenham travel to Dortmund for their Europa League last-16 clash on Thursday.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew: "Liverpool were terrific [in midweek]. That high-pressing game is exciting to watch. It doesn't always work though."If we can find a way around that [high press], we can cause Liverpool problems like we have done in the past."We improved at Sunderland. The boys coming back [from injury] will help us progress. It's a different team to the one of four or five weeks ago."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on his side's chances of a top-four finish: "Six points is not the world. We have to show it, Consistency has not been our hobby until now. We need to improve that."Our starting position isn't a masterclass but we are still in a good enough position to achieve something."I have some hard selection decisions to make. We haven't had this before. We have to use this new quality to change and rest."
