Clash of clans: Joe Gomez and Sterling dispute

English squad is like family to Gareth Southgate and the dissension between Raheem Sterling Joe & Gomez was just a familial issue, according to him. His viewpoint is that war of words and difference of opinion are bound to happen in a close knit family and the key to solving family squabbles is communication. He is ready to deal with problems being a manager of the England national team and is not at all taken aback by such clashes.  Raheem Sterling, a winger and attacking midfielder for Premier League club Manchester City and the England national team got enmeshed in a wrangle with Liverpool's Gomez in his side's 3-1 Premier League defeat on Sunday and on Thursday has been dropped for England's Euro 2020 qualifier against Montenegro.

Southgate asserted that Sterling was responsible for the provocation at the team hotel. Sterling confessed that the episode led his emotions get the better of him. The entire squad has come to agreement with the rubber stamp of dropping him off as a result of a disturbance in a private team area. Southgate took counsel from senior players and they concurred with the idea to drop Sterling.

This is a sport where surge of emotions and adrenaline rush take a toll on the behavior and mannerisms. However all thing said, Gomez and Sterling hold this entire issue to be over and the Sterling had even apologized to Joe.
