There was no
stopping Leicester City as Leicester's goal scorers James Maddison and Jamie
Vardy celebrate victory over a crestfallen Arsenal. Leicester beat and put
forward a notable indicator in the race to finish in the Premier League’s top
four. The 2-0 win of Leicester City helped them move nine points ahead of the
sixth-placed Gunners. The ninth goal that was scored against the Gunners was to
inspire the Foxes to a 2-0 win and into second in the Premier League.

were ripe for Arsenal especially on the counter attack. Lacazette and Hector Bellerin fired off target
and Mesut Ozil became problematic on several occasions. And here came Jamie
Vardy’s goal which was inexorable. It was a team effort with Harvey Barnes and
Youri Tielemans which turned out to be too pronounced and intense as they
allowed Vardy to sweep his low finish into the corner after finding space
inside the penalty box. Jamie Vardy broke the deadlock in the 68th minute
having accomplished a deft Leicester move involving Youri Tielemans and Harvey
Barnes. Arsenal was
there for the taking but the Foxes’ dearth of potency helped the visitors. Maddison’s
free-kick flew just over three minutes before the break and Harvey Barnes’
header was faulty.Embed from Getty Images
